The Journey of Making Our First ArcGIS Maps SDK for JavaScript Application (Making WHAIFinder v3)
Thursday February 27, 2025 11:00am - 11:30am CST
Join in and listen close as I tell you the tale of our first foray in the ArcGIS JS SDK. With the goal of rebuilding the Wisconsin Historic Aerial Imagery Finder application, our first task was to formulate a plan by determining our requirements and choosing a technology—spoiler, we chose the ArcGIS JS SDK. Next, we began prototyping the interface; how were we going to provide access to all of these aerial imagery points?! And finally, at long last, we got to start writing code. But wait! How exactly were we going to do that; what software to use? Well, I guess you’ll have to attend to find out.

Using the Esri GIS Request Management Solution to Track, Organize, and Share GIS Projects
Thursday February 27, 2025 11:30am - 12:00pm CST
Like many organizations, the GIS Division at the City of Waukesha has encountered a problem: the need to keep up with an increasing interest in GIS across the organization while maintaining a high level of service. This presentation will show how the City’s GIS Division used Esri’s new GIS Request Management Solution as the foundation for GeoHub, a management nexus for GIS staff and a central application destination for non-GIS staff. Using a combination of out-of-the-box and custom applications, GeoHub keeps stakeholders engaged throughout the duration of their GIS projects, provides a destination for them to access their final project deliverables, and clearly documents and communicates the role of GIS at the organization, all within the Esri ecosystem.
